As from 1 January 2002, the following rules shall apply to all bookings made after this date, in all Great Lakes Council caravan parks:

DEPOSITS

Peak Period (December/January school holidays):

Cabins/Vans: 50% of total cost of booking including GST or $165 including GST
Sites: 50% of total cost of booking including GST or $110 including GST

All Other Times

Cabins/Vans: First night's accommodation charge including GST or $165 including GST
Sites: First night's accommodation charge including GST or $ 110 including GST

Bookings Made by Phone on Day of Arrival

As above, payment to be made by credit card at time of booking.

PAYMENT OF FEES

Peak Period (December/January school holidays):

All fees to be paid upon arrival for the full period of booking

All Other Times

Fees may be paid fortnightly in advance.

REFUNDS

A full refund of deposit will be made if:

Booking cancelled by Great Lakes Council;
Booking cancelled by tenant due to a change in park rules by Great Lakes Council

Refunds where booking cancelled by tenant will be as per the following:

50% of deposit if booking cancelled at least one month prior.
No refund of deposit if booking cancelled less than one month prior.
In extreme circumstances, eg bereavement or serious illness (proof required), consideration will be given to 50% refund of deposit where cancellation made less than one month prior, or full refund of balance of fees paid where tenant has to leave park prior to completion of booking. Balance of fees paid may also be transferred to a future booking. NB Inclement weather/work commitments is not considered to be "extreme circumstances".
